Col. James Jabara Airport is a general aviation reliever airport for the Wichita metropolitan area. Midwest Corporate Aviation provides full-service fixed-base operator services.
Jabara Airport is the site for the annual Wichita Flight Festival, which will be held August 22-24, 2008.
National Center for Aviation Training
Col. James Jabara Airport is the future home of a new, world-class technical education center that will support the aviation/manufacturing industry cluster. The first priority is the development of a two-parcel site representing 30+ acres of land for Aviation Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and Career Development/Assessment. Construction has begun and classes are expected to be fully functioning in 2010.
The first phase of the campus (211,000 sq. ft.) will be developed with room for growth allowing for top-quality programs in the growing industries of information technology and health care.
