125,881 passengers traveled through the airport in September
Mid-Continent Airport is pleased to report twelve consecutive months of increased passenger traffic, with a new September record of 125,881 total passengers being reported. This is an increase of 10.36% over September 2006. The old September record was 115,794 passengers set in 2004. For the year to date, passenger traffic is up 8.79%.
“With increased use of Mid-Continent Airport, it is important that passengers arrive early for their flights, particularly if their departure is before 8:00 a.m. The 6:00 – 8:00 a.m. time frame is a peak travel time of the day, and we recommend you arrive two hours before your departure to allow enough time to check in and get through the screening process,” commented Airport spokesperson Valerie Wise. “We also wish to remind travelers of the convenient shuttle parking lot which provides a courtesy van to transport passengers directly to the front of the terminal building and back to your car.” The shuttle lot can be found at the exit off of Mid-Continent Drive marked “Park & Ride”.
