Beginning July 1, travelers can fly nonstop from Wichita to Los Angeles.  The service is being provided by Delta Connection carrier ExpressJet Airlines.  ExpressJet Airlines will operate the service with a 50-seat Embraer 145XR regional jet with upgraded in-flight entertainment with more than 100 channels of free XM Satellite radio and redesigned, memory foam leather seating with no middle seats.  ExpressJet offers complimentary recognized name-brand snacks with full service meal options on longer flights.  The new flight will connect passengers to existing Delta and Delta Connection flights at the LA gateway.

“Non-stop service to LA has been one of the City’s top air service priorities, and we hope that passengers will strongly support this service,” remarked Mayor Carl Brewer.  “This is exciting news for Kansas travelers.  The combined five markets in the LA basin are Wichita’s third top destination.  Delta and ExpressJet are to be commended for recognizing the demand and providing this much-needed service,” commented Valerie Wise, Air Service Manager.

The service will begin with one daily flight, which departs Wichita at 8:30 a.m. and arrives LAX at 9:18 a.m.  The return flight departs LAX at 4:15 p.m. and arrives ICT at 9:15 p.m.   Round-trip fares are starting at $288 (with taxes).  Book your flights at www.delta.com.
