Mid-Continent Airport Sets another Passenger Traffic Record

156,560 passengers traveled through the airport in July

Wichita Mid-Continent Airport continues reporting phenomenal passenger growth this year by setting a new monthly traffic record of 156,560 total passengers in July.  This surpasses the previous record of 151,236 last month.  The record also marks an increase of 12.99%, or 18,002 more passengers than in July 2006.  This is the tenth consecutive month that passenger traffic has increased at Mid-Continent. For the year, passenger traffic is up 7.33%.

“Increased passenger traffic is good news for the airport as the increased traffic leads to increased revenue from concessions and passenger facility charges which is needed for improvements at the airport.  It also catches the attention of the airlines who may consider to start or expand service here,” commented Victor White, Director of Airports.
